Some facts about Bakhchisarai:

Bakhchisarai (or Bakhchisaray) is a small town situated in Crimea, on the highway between Simferopol and Sevastopol. Distance from International airport in Simferopol is about 50 km. Bakhchisarai is rather popular tourist destination. There are several sights attracting people to visit the city. Among them: Bakhchisaray Khan's Palace, Uspensky cave monastery, Chufut-Kale cave town. To visit Chufut-Kale one has to be ready for about 2,5 hours hiking up in the mountains!!! Bakhchisaray is the center of Crimean Tatars. Crimean Tatars cuisine is really delicious and certainly worth of lunch stop (cuisine based on beef and lamb)! At night Bakhchisarai is empty as most of tourists do not stay here for a night.
