Population: Dnipropetrovsk (or in Russian Dnepropetrovsk) with a population of 1.1 million inhabitants seems to be third Ukrainian largest city.

Location: Located in the South-Cenral area of Ukraine on the Dniper river (Dnipro or in Russian Dnepr), South of Kiev.

Public transport system: highly developed and includes: electric trolley buses, trams, buses and minibuses (marshrutka) + metro system, opened in 1995.

Railway and airport: Daily trains run to (from) most of Ukrainian cities, many parts of Eastern Europe and Russia. Dnipropetrovsk has an International airport , connected to many European cities with daily flights.

Climate and best time to visit: Average day temperature in July is +26 °C and -4 to +4 °C in January. The best time to visit Dnepropetrovsk is late Spring, June and early Autumn.
