Kamianets-Podilskyi (or Kamyanets-Podilsky) has a population of about 100 thousands inhabitants and located in the Western Ukraine, between towns Khmelnitsky and Chernivtsi, in about 25 km. from Khotyn.
Kamyanets-Podilsky is famous for its ancient fortress, built in the XIV c. Thanks to its geographical position, the city is a kind of peninsula, surrounded by Smotrich river. The fortress was built to defend the so-called "castle's bridge" - the only entrance into the city.
Getting there : Plenty of buses with daily services from (to) Khmelnitsky and Chernivtsi. Kamianets-Podilskyi has a train station.
