Population: Odessa (or in Ukrainian Odesa) with a population of about 1.05 million inhabitants seems to be fourth Ukrainian largest city.

Location: Located in the Southern area of Ukraine in about 450 km. from Kiev. Odessa is Black Sea's gateway to Ukraine, the country's biggest commercial Black Sea port. Railway and airport: Daily trains run to (from) many of Ukrainian cities, many parts of Eastern Europe and Russia. Odessa has an International airport, situated just in 12 km. south-west of the city centre. Sea port connects with many other Black Sea and Mediterranean Sea ports.

Climate and best time to visit: Odesa has a mild and dry climate with average temperatures in January from +5 ° to -3 °C , and July of about + 22-26 °C . It averages only 350 mm of precipitation annually.. The best time to visit Odessa is late Spring, Summer and early Autumn. In Summer Odesa's beaches are overcrowded and water is not clean.
