Kara-DagUkraine is a country of medieval castles & fortresses. Most of fortresses are situated in western Ukraine. Kamenets-Podilsky would be probably one of the most impressive. In central part of country there are many old monasteries. Crimea - southern part of Ukraine would be the richest (historically) area. There are Royal Palaces in Crimea (one of the well-known is White Livadia Palace - residence of last Russian Tsar Nicolas II and place of Yalta Conference in 1945). Cave towns of Crimea - are fortresses with Natural defense (big rocks) and man-made caves (VI - XV c.) Khan's Palace in Bakhchisarai - invasion of Mongolian army to Crimea.
