Bakhchisaray. Khan Palace. Uspensky cave monastery. Cave city.

Bakhchisaraiy is a small town situated in Crimea, on the highway between Simferopol and Sevastopol. Distance from International airport in Simferopol is about 50 km. Bakhchisaray is rather popular tourist destination. There are several sights attracting people to visit this place. Among them: Bakhchisaray Khan Palace, Uspensky cave monastery, Chufut-Kale cave town. To visit Chufut-Kale one has to be ready for about 2,5 hours hiking (total) uphill and downhill!!! Bakhchisaray is the center of Crimean Tatars. Crimean Tatars cuisine is really delicious and certainly worth of lunch stop (cuisine based on beef and lamb)! At night Bakhchisaray is not very busy. Most of tourists prefer to stay for a night in Yalta or Sevastopol.
